This course introduces the architecture, structure, functions, components, and models of the Internet and other computer networks. The principles and structure of IP addressing and the fundamentals of Ethernet concepts, media, and operations are introduced to provide a foundation for the curriculum.

This course describes the architecture, components, and operations of routers and switches in a small network. Students learn how to configure a router and a switch for basic functionality.

This course will teach color theories and composition as they relate to imaging rules of creative element placement and design of an image, including the effects of light, exposure, and image tone. Students will further learn color theories and composition as they are used in graphic design and complement theories used in digital imaging.

Students will learn Adobe After Effects and create basic composites, as well as nested composites. They will gain hands on experience combining visual elements through techniques such as “green screen” and combining layered elements in the computer.

Compositing II will give students the opportunity to expand upon their compositing and animation skills in Adobe After effects. Students will continue to develop their keying, animating, masking, keyframing, and compositing skills. More advanced projects including logo animation and show intro animations will be worked on.
