This course provides an overview of the most popular electronic health systems. System features are evaluated and compared as they would relate to practical deployments. Key factors such as cost, licensing, and staffing are also discussed.

This course will enable the student to study basic word structure, organization of the body, prefixes, roots, suffixes that form the basics in veterinary language. A variety of applications including written and verbal exercises are used as students learn to decipher and understand veterinary language.

This introductory course covers the three Web authoring standards, HTML (base language that Web pages are written in), XHTML (standards that define how to write HTML pages), and CSS (standard that applies formatting styles to Web pages). While these concepts apply to Web authoring as a whole, emphasis will be on optimization for mobile devices.

This course covers mobile layout and effects and extensive use of HTML5 and CSS3.

Students will learn the fundamentals of proper web page design and the maintenance of web pages.

Students will utilize DOS commands from the Microsoft Windows command-line interface (CLI) to manipulate the operating system and its file system.

This course provides students with an understanding and use of word processing software in a realistic business environment. Topics include: preparation of newsletters, letters, mailing labels; creation of outlines, tables, forms; and integration of word processing software and other software programs.

In this course, students will work with simulated systems or real systems with simulated data. As they play the role of practitioners using these systems, they will learn what is happening under the hood?. They will experience threats to security, understand how errors occur, and appreciate the need for standards and high levels of usability.
